We are sheep.

I find this interesting....sad, but interesting.
"To put it nicely, a sheep is an intellectually challenged creature. While visiting Stonehenge in England, I watched a shepherd lead his sheep along the outside perimeter of the fenced-in tourist area. The herd of sheep walked single file along the fence. Suddenly one of the animals stumbled and fell. Instead of walking around the fallen sheep, the remainder of the flock scrambled over him, trampling him into the dirt. That couldn't give an accurate picture of how humans often behave toward one another, could it?"
From the book...A Place In God's Heart by Kay D. Rizzo
In the Bible we people are alot of times referenced to as sheep. I thought this was an interesting trait of sheep that I had never heard of before. May we be better sheep than that!

Graduation Pictures

Graduation was yesterday. It all turned out well. I think everyone had a good time and I know that Destiny was pleased with all who came by to see her. She was very appreciative to all those who helped her too. Here are some photos of the open house decorating. The first photo is what the place looked like before we started. Oh course my photos are pretty lame, but Amy has some very good shots and I'm going to try to get hers. I didn't even take a final photo of the place!

And here's Amy and Destiny

We need to Laugh!

I read an article today from www.vibrantlife.com about the need to laugh.
Here's a bit of it:

Stanford University psychiatrist Dr. William Fry, Jr., has done extensive research on the physiological benefits of laughter and has found that humor plays an active role in maintaining a healthy heart. "Humor acts to relieve fear," Fry exclaims. "Excessive fearful thoughts, built-up anger, and tension put tremendous pressure on the heart. Yet, laughter readily relieves stress and promotes a positive perspective. This uplifted spirit breeds hope and leads to healing and well-being."

"A cheerful heart is good medicine," proclaims Solomon in Proverbs 17:22

So I looked up Christian jokes and here's one for you:

In God's Time

A man is talking to God.
The man asks God how much a million years is to him God says that it's a second.
Then he asks how much a million dollars is to him God says it's a penny.

So the man asked, "God can I have a penny?"
And God replied, "Just a second."

Have a great day.....and try laughing.

Wednesday I came home from work and was discouraged. I don't know why I always have to get so down.....well in a way, yes I do know why. I feel like I've not been digging into God's word and I think it is affecting me in a bad way. I know that my attitude would be alot better if I would just take some time with God. Anyway, My Secret Sister had given me this cup with little verses rolled and tied up. I happened to open one up on Wednesday. God amazes me! What can I say. The verse is 2 Thessalonians 2:16,17. "May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word."!!!! That's all I have to say today. :)
