I'm In! I bought this book and am going to do the study along with other bloggers. I'm excited, and hoping to learn just what I need too! Will post later about the first chapter.

Here's some stuff from a blog I found last night:
This is from http://leliachealey.blogspot.com
I just found her blog and I have to say it is very encouraging. She and other bloggers read and studied the book
I missed the whole study...but I've gone through and read a bit about the study here are some notes from the last chapter: these words are from Lelia's blog...........

"Lysa wraps the book up by telling us that if we choose to live a life of radical obedience to whatever God asks of us then we will be living a life that is...

ADVENTUROUS
NOT A WASTE
WORRY-FREE FOR OUR FUTURE
NOT WORN OUT
SEEING OTHERS THROUGH GOD'S EYES

BLESSED WITH AN ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE
and last but not least we will live a life that is
CHANGING THE WORLD!
Now what woman in her right mind doesn't want that kind of life?

This book has really been a life changer for me.

My Grandparents own a Garbage company. They have two huge trucks and about 3,000 customers. Everyday Monday through Friday the crew picks up the trash that people don't want. People leave bags of junk out at the curb and our guys pick it up, throw it in the truck and run the blades. The blades crush the garbage so they can make room for more garbage. When the hopper is full, they drive to the dump and empty their trucks so the next day they can collect more trash.

What if my Grandpa decided he didn't want his sons to dump the garbage out of their trucks? What if he decided that he wanted them to keep everything they collected? If he did this, he wouldn't have a successful company because he wouldn't have room enough to haul every one's trash. He can't have it both ways. He can't tell his customers that he will haul their garbage for them and then keep it. To run a successful business he has to let my uncles dispose of the garbage at the landfill.

Same thing with us.

We cannot be a woman walking God while we are having an affair. We can't pray for our friends then get on the phone and mask our gossip as a prayer request.

Bottom line is that we can't be the garbage hauler and collector at the same time. We either dump the garbage and live for Jesus or keep the garbage and live a life full of confusion, danger and missing out on the plans God has for us."

Interesting to me that today is garbage day here in Fessenden....I forgot to put the garbage out. Hmmm.
And this..........SEEING OTHERS THROUGH GOD'S EYES is defiantly something that I need to work on this week!!!

New Signature

I'm excited! I figured out how to add a signature to my posts. Like I said in an earlier post, I'm working on changing things up a bit. Oh to be excited about trivial things!
But...I have been reading some AWESOME blogs and am planning on posting about them soon.

New Music

Ok, so I added several new songs and I tried as hard as I could to delete some of the older ones, but I just couldn't delete many. I think I have way too many songs on here, but oh well. The ones I added today are mostly groups or individuals that will be performing here:

http://www.lifelight.org/festival

...........which Amy and I are very much hoping we can attend! It's in Souix Falls SD in August. It happens to be the same weekend of the American Idol Tour in MN, but I think this concert would be better for a few reasons. 1- It's more of a Spiritual Concert 2- It's more than just one Concert 3- Anthony can maybe come too! and 4- It's FREE! :)

Vacation!!

Boss is gone and here I sit. I know that there are plenty of things I should get done this week, but so far it isn't looking good. I haven't done much yet today, except organize my online bookmarks. :) I will have to get motivated. I'm working on possibly making some changes to my blog. I want some new music and some design on my blog. We'll see what I come up with. And then I need to get busy here. Want to wash the windows, clean the basement, especially Anthony's room, and maybe start tearing down the wallpaper in the bathroom. I do need ideas on what color to paint the bathroom though! I can't decide. Here are my thoughts..
Lavender and Burgundy
Beige and Burgundy
Lime Green and Black
Pink and Red
Any ideas???

I just gave up a FREE Trip to Las Vegas!

Yep. There's this Dental Seminar in Las Vegas this November and we all at work were given the choice to go or not. This is an all expense paid trip by the boss! And I decided not to go. One thing....I hate flying. But there really are other reason too. Several of them. And as much as I feel good about my decision, I know that it would have been an experience I may have enjoyed some of. We have never been given the choice on trips before. It's always been mandatory so I am thankful that I do have the choice this time. Jackie from work is also not going. The two of us might be the biggest losers in this, but I don't know.
Anyway....Jae and I are off to the Wells County Fair!! WHOOHOO!!

It's Ruhbarb Season....

So I went out and cut some Ruhbarb today. Wow, I have lots of it out in the garden! Anybody need any?? Am I spelling Ruhbarb right? My spellcheck isn't liking it.
I did make Ruhbarb Crunch and froze some of the extra Ruhbarb. I haven't eaten too much of it yet, but I had a taste and it's good!
Here's the process........

I also made some brownies and a macaroni salad...my own version.
I have a box of Grandma Reutter's recipes and I decided to go through some of them tonight. Oh my goodness, I totally get why my recipes look like they do. I take after Grandma! :) She has so many little papers here and there of recipes, even ingredients listed, but no title as to what the recipe is for or how exactly to make the recipe! I also found some recipes written two or more times on paper (I can never find the one when I need it and have to call someone for the recipe again...looks like Grandma had to do that too!). I love it!! I take after Grandma!
A couple of her recipes caught my eye...Pickled Fish...ewe! and Laxative Jam...I bet that was for Grandpa. What a treasure to have these recipes. I'm not planning on keeping them, just making some copies for myself and Amy. I will make sure to pass them on as I know others may enjoy them just as much as I have been.

The Monkeys in my Tree!

Jae, Hannah and Sierra,
This tree is Jae's favorite tree. And because she used to live in this house and the tree used to be HER tree, she is very comfortable climbing it! Hannah wanted so bad to be comfortable in it, and she tried several times to go a bit higher, but she was a bit worried while in it. Sierra...well, she was just fine with wherever we put her. She's a climber anyway.

Home

Well I'm back home after spending a few days in Bismarck for Campmeeting. We had a really nice time. I took Grandma and then Amy joined us on Thursday night. I always liked Campmeeting. Good things.
Today I haven't accomplished much. I've been on the internet most of the morning. I'm doing ALOT of searching for ideas, etc. for parties. I have found some very very cool ideas. So when's the next party?? I have ideas and I want to plan!!
I want to paint and redecorate my bathroom. It's time! I think it was done about 6 years ago and I'm sick of it. It happened suddenly though...I loved the bathroom and then, not so much. I'm tempted to go get paint today, but that means a trip to Harvey and with gas at over $4.00 a gallon, I'm not going! Billie Jo called today and said that gas in Harvey went up to $4.10. Crazy!
Destiny is here today. She works at 3 and so far we haven't been able to figure out how to have her be online for work and my internet to work downstairs on my computer. She does work till 10 so I will be deprived of the internet...until she gets a break!
Well..that's all for now.
