Suprise!! :)

I decided that it was not only the time for me to get back to this blog....but to fancy it up abit! :) Well CHANGE it anyway. :)
I'm still working on it, but I do like the change.

I'm invited to a evening by the lake so I just might
take my camera,
take some pictures,
post them!!
Yay.

I blame Facebook!

I've not been posting her for such a long time and it is SO random and a while back I was thinking about it and trying to figure out WHY.
I mean things are still happening in my life.
I'm going places, seeing family and friends, making stuff....ect, but just haven't posted.
Well, I figured it out and it's Facebook!!
Since I joined it, I seem to spend less and less time here and more time there.
How unfair is that?? :)
I also do focus alot on the party planning blog which can at times get neglected too, but that's it.......I want to get back to THIS blog.
If nobody else reads this, that's ok, but I want to later on to see what I did in the past. :)
So wish me luck...here we go, again. :)

Stressed!

I know I haven't posted on here in a really long and don't know what inspired me to do so tonight other than I'm feeling so overwhelmed right now I just wanted to say it here . Whew....it's crazy here. I'm trying to remember that it will all turn out just fine. I'm sort of a worrier tho! I keep thinking of things I will enjoy AFTER July 10th. :) A relaxing night in front of the tv....a nice campfire....a shopping trip, with NO Wedding list!
Pray for me any of you who wish to do so. I could use it. And now....back to work.

Move. wedding. chocolate.

We made it! The move is over! :) All went well and Amy is now in a nice apartment with a huge mess of boxes to unpack and put away. But really, I think that is the fun part of moving.....re-organizing, re-decorating and always a few new purchases that are needed in a new place.

Destiny's wedding plans are coming along....alittle slower than I'd like, but then again, I am usually a last minute person that does better under pressure. But hey, we have all of the silverware wrapped and ready to go. :) It will all work out. (I have to keep telling myself that so I don't go crazy).

And this~ I MADE IT!!! 30 days NO chocolate!! I can't believe it myself! It's been good for me though and I am noticing some good changes because of it. Oh ya, I was going to post about my reasons.....well, later. :)

Gearin' Up

It's that time of year again. A weekend at Ruth's. Time with the girls.
Planning. Laughing. Praying. Learning. Eating.
I'm excited, but not ready. Normally I have ideas in my head for favor ideas and decorating....but not this year. Maybe it will spark with everyone else's creative ideas! :) I don't even know what the theme of our Retreat will be this September. Yikes. I should have been on top of that.
It will all come together. It always does. God puts it together anyway!!

I did some reading today....one chapter was on Forgiveness.
Anybody have any thoughts on forgiveness?
It's a tricky one, I tell ya, and yet...so simple with Jesus. A friend gave me the book "Sometimes I don't feel like praying" by Mike Jones and it sure has touched alot of areas in my life that need improvement....forgiveness being one and I really thought I HAD forgiven! But something still doesn't seem right.

And this...I'm about 3 weeks or so into a 30 day NO CHOCOLATE, sweets, etc.
If you know me at all, you know this is no easy task!!!
I love chocolate. LOVE it!
It even says so in my profile description! I made a decision one day that I was going to go for 30 days for a few reasons which I will explain....after the 30 days. :)
I have to say I've been tempted, but not too badly. I remember when I was a kid I went on these sort of "breaks" from candy. All the kids around would be eating it, but I remember sticking to my commitment. I don't really remember why or how often I would do this as a kid, but I did. Don't they say that after like 21 days it becomes a habit? Well then, I suppose I'm off to a good start! :) But, I do want to taste the chocolate malt cream cheese bars that are waiting for me in the freezer too! Going to move on now....too much talk about chocolate!

blog hopping...finding good

I've been blog hopping and wow....there is a great big world out there!! I think I get so used to the little life here in small town nd that I forget about the world. It's amazing what people are doing! Good things. We hear so many bad things on the news, and it can really get you down (and scare you) but take a moment to read about the good things. That's what I've been doing and I already feel better about this place we live.
I started out here and went here and here and checked this out again.....well you get it and by now if you've clicked on any of the links, you're outta here!! :) Have a great day and do something good today.

worthy

I came across this saying on Ali Edwards blog and it made me feel good so here it is:
We all have stories. Each one different. It's OK to be different.
Just make sure YOU are ok with who you are and
what your life is about. And really, it's God that makes us worthy of anything.
Without Him, it's nothing.
So letting go of the "what will she think of me" needs to happen. It doesn't matter.
God matters!

Hello?

Time has flown!! What the world is going on? I'm still here, and I brag about how I love to blog. Bet you couldn't tell it by my posting habits recently! :)
I saw this verse today on 160 Acres and it has always been one of my favorites so I wanted to share it with you (whoever the few of you left that even read this anymore are).

I am not alone

Destiny has moved in with me! I'm glad and hopeful that it will be a good experience. She has started working as an Esthetician (sorry, not spelled correct) at New Image Salon in Harvey. She's starting out with 2 days a week...hopefully working into more. It will be nice to have company, but it might mean I have to cook sometimes. I thought we could work a deal out where I cook a meal and then it's her turn, but she informed me that she doesn't cook. SO.........that's how that goes. :)
I was lucky enough to get my eyebrows waxed already tonight! She did a good job. I got a little nervous when we both got the giggles though.
I think she will be helping Billie Jo with the girls when she can. They would love to have her around too.
We will be able to work on the wedding planning better too with her here so that is good. Lots to think about with that!

Christmas Pictures

So.......it was Christmas! :) I'm just now getting around to posting a few of the pictures from the holiday. We ended up with 11 of us altogether in our home for 3 1/2 days! And surprisingly it went pretty good. We played alot of games and ate alot of food! Everyone helped out and it really didn't seem like alot of work for me. I enjoyed it actually. It's usually just me here so the change was nice. But the house sure feels empty now! I'm still trying to catch up on washing all the bedding. Maybe Sunday I will get back at it. Took the day off today and did almost nothing. :)

So, here are a few pictures from our time together.
Food
Games
Computer Time (we had 9 computers in the house!!)
Outside fun (work and play!)

Christmas

Why does the Christmas season have to be so stressful??
Seriously. If it is not money issues...I mean think about it, most people spend ALOT of time shopping right now. If you don't plan ahead for this sort of shopping...is that a financial stress then???
And all the preparation that we think we need to do....cleaning, baking, cards, programs, the list goes on. I think in a normal month we are usually fairly busy running around, now add extra things.
And of course there is always the decision of where to go or to have company. I remember when the kids were little and we went from place to place. It was a very very busy time of visiting. Fun, but busy.
Family stuff doesn't always work out like we'd like it to. I don't know.....for something that is suppose to be the best time of the year...I question that. I mean, I LOVE being with my family, that's the best part. But getting everything figured out first is the stressful part.
So hurry up Christmas!
I'm ready for the real part of the Holiday.
