WFW

Yay! I did it!! My very first WFW that I MADE!! :) I usually copy somebody elses (which are very nice too). I have worked on this before and I was never able to figure it out. Today I used Paint and that is not something I am too familiar with, I know....it's one of the easiest there is.
So on to the picture and verse ~
This picture was taken by my daughter a couple years ago. I didn't ask permission to use it, do you think she'll mind? Too bad. :)
The verse is something that I need to remind myself of every day!! Seriously, I don't think I think about what I am doing and that it really matters....but I am representing my Father here, so it DOES matter. Give God the glory of ALL things. Simple.

Visit Amydeane at 160 Acre Woods with more wonderful words from our Father!

Mmmmm.....

These are the delicious chocolate covered strawberries that Scarlett made for the Bridal Shower on Saturday night. They were just delightful and beautiful.

A couple more pictures are posted on my party blog. The girls did a wonderful job of decorating the church basement. The shower was very nice!

Happy Friday!

Wow it's Friday already. Day off! Yay! Kelly and I went to Minot yesterday and
we had a really nice time.
I'm the worst shopper ever. I doddle alot. I take my time. I can't make a decision.
And then, once I've spent what I think it too much money....I get frazzled and in a hurry. I suppose I think that if I can just get out of town now, it will all be good. :)
Still no dress for the wedding though. I didn't really look too much anyway. Amy and I are planning to go to the Mall of America to look for dresses. I told Anthony that and he was like, "um, why do you have to go ALL the way to MN to buy dresses?" He said the wedding is not real formal, I wouldn't have to have a fancy dress. He's a guy! :)

I like this quote today:
"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."

Time

Wow, it's almost a week since I last posted! It's just crazy how fast time goes...and how busy I keep myself. Anthony is coming home this weekend so that will be fun....and work, cause he likes to eat! :) MiKaela will be here for the weekend also, so that means I better get busy and clean the house.

To those of you who have been praying for me and for specific prayer requests on my blog prayer list...I want to say Thank You! Please don't stop. It seems like things are different and that I can tell that someone is praying. I know God has a plan and He wants good for us, it's just that sometimes life is SO hard that we forget that.

It's Friday Night

What a day. I've accomplished just about nothing all day! It's cold and dreary out and although I LOVE that kind of weather, it kind of put me in a l.a.z.y mood. It happens. :) I had to go out to get the mail and buy cat litter and that was just about enough of outside for me today.
I spent alot of time on the internet...that's ok, right? BUT, I didn't study at all! Shame on me, how am I going to complete my course if I don't study?
So tonight, I'm sipping on some absolutely wonderful hot cocoa and thinking I'm going to get ready for bed early...it's 8pm. Maybe I'll read a bit...it's a good day for reading.
Boy am I going to pay for my laziness later on.
Oh well. :)

WFW

Amydeanne at The 160 Acre Woods give us a challenge today with this verse. How easy is it somedays to get lost in our troubles and not be joyful? For me, it happens more that I would like to admit. Life is hard and I don't understand why certain things happen or don't happen for that matter. But........we are instructed to Be Joyful. Need to work on that. :)

Happy Mother's Day and Rockstar Party

Amy, Destiny and I went to the Pizza Ranch for dinner today and then to visit Grandma W. The girls left to go back to Fargo/Moorhead this afternoon. It was great having them around to help me with the party and to just have some girl time.
Yesterday we got Larry and Billie Jo's girls and went to see Grandma R. at the nursing home. She sure was happy to see all the little ones!
We thought it would be fun to take the little girls out to eat at Rosa's {what were we thinking?} :)
It was good....but LOTS of work! We figured it would be ok since the ratio of adult to child was 1:1. Good thing! But really...they are sweethearts.
The birthday party for Jae was so fun! There were 5 girls total. I posted lots of pictures on my other blog so you can look there, if you want to. :)
Here are a few random pictures from the weekend.

THIS is what we woke up to on Saturday morning....yes...it IS snow!
Thankfully it didn't stay long. :)

It's Party Day!

Jae's Rockin 13th Birthday is tonight at my house. I have quite a bit of stuff to do yet so this will be short and then I better get busy!! :) I think there will be about 6 girls here. We are having build your own pizza, nachos and cheese, chocolate fondue, ice cream bar and sweet sushi (instead of cake). Lots of fun things happening! Amy and Destiny are coming home to help me...thank goodness!! Billie Jo will be here to assist to, even though parties aren't her thing. We are going to have a good time with loud music and giggly girls!

It looks as if I will not get to go to MiKaela's graduation. I talked to her last night and of course she is ok with it. She is very kind that way. I know it is a very hectic time for her family and they are not celebrating the event with an bunch of company and festivities. Hum....is that a party I should work on??? :)

WFW

Here it is Wednesday again. I haven't posted just too much lately. Too many other things on my mind. Today I received a card in the mail and this is the verse that was shared ~
"Behold I come quickly, HOLD FAST what you have that no one may take your crown." Rev 3:11
I just need to say that I needed to read that! With everything that has been happening around here, I HAVE compromised the crown that God has for me. When life hands you ugly stuff, when you get hurt, and you don't know how to deal with it.... you tend to want to get even or just plain give up on all things. That's not ok. I really am just trying to take one day at a time and know that my worth resides in WHO I am and not WHAT I do for a living, WHERE I live, or anything else for that matter.
There are ugly things all around us and Evil is waiting to devour each one of us. I see it so much.
Stand strong!
Keep focused on Him!
Fight for the right to keep the crown that He HAS ready for each one of us (the verse says "YOUR crown")!

Today

Last Sunday Amy and I went with Destiny to church in Harvey. I don't usually go to church on Sunday and I had already gone on Saturday....but I will say it was nice.
They showed a video clip by Rob Bell entitled TODAY.
We need to forget the past! Yep, that's right, forget the past. Forget about it! Don't worry about tomorrow. Don't worry!!! Humm....
Live for Today. Live...today.
I have a problem with this. I mean, I'm ok with it, but I have a problem LIVING like this. Many many days I keep wanting to go back. Back to the days when my kids were home, back to the days when life seemed fun because I was a mom that could be with her kids. Every day. And I loved it. Now...today, that's over. They are moved away. And goodness....they should be, they are 22 and 26! But I miss the old life....and I need to change that.
After His Resurrection, even Jesus did not want Mary to hold on to the Jesus she knew before his death. Jesus wanted her to move on. Things were different now. She has a NEW role. Go and tell what has happened. Let go...receive a NEW spirit.
Is He saying to you...let go and receive a new spirit?
It's hard to move on.
It really is.
I feel empty sometimes.
But God is willing and able to fill that emptiness. He never leaves...and He provides everything we need for today.
Do you ever want to go back? Back to the "best years". How do you deal with living today and being ok that the past is the past?
It's really not true that it was BETTER then.
To be free to live today, I have to know that TODAY is what is important...not the past.
"If we are holding on how things WERE our arms are not free to embrace today.....and all we have is TODAY."
"Be so fully present here and now that you don't miss a thing in this day. No regrets."
Here's the link to the youtube video that was shown last Sunday. There are 2 parts.
Just thought I'd share...because life is hard and we can be assured that Jesus has a plan. We don't need to live in the past.
He is in our TODAY. :)
